Yeh, the pressure is on.

It was also kind of strange when IBM started making personal computers, but the when the reality sinks in about the dire urgency to cut down on material waste things will start to happen. ("When everything thing else fails reason prevails.")

Developed world hybrid human-electric transport and transit will require substantial industrial design to fit the bill but are most likely quite feasible for urban and even long range implementation.

(Though, Chevy probably doesn't have a clue at this point.)

Yep. The Chevy ads were all over the MSN webcast and NBC broadcast. Their boast was something like, "We have five models that get over 30 mpg."

I heard from my friend Jeff that Chevrolet was a major sponsor of the event. Is this true? Could they not have found a more appropriate sponsor. Why provide a platform for a car company, one of the main elements of the problem, to sell its products?
