As far as having fewer one-way stems that filter you into the middle of traffic, I'd be content with one. Perhaps most noteworthy is that, as the amount of cycling increases, not only are the per-mile or per-hour fatality and injury rates falling but that the ABSOLUTE number of injuries and fatalities is falling. Safety-in-numbers, indeed. How obsolete helmet campaigns seem when it is now apparent that we can improve our safety by increasing our number. Bicycling is good!
