Those Tfl stats can be a bit misleading as I recently found out. Have a look at<a href="http://www.movingtargetzine.com/article/an-over-sight-more-bloody-road-casualty-stats" rel="nofollow"> movingtarget</a>.

As far as having fewer one-way stems that filter you into the middle of traffic, I'd be content with one.

I've yet to see the TV ads but once I do I'll let you know my opinion ;)

Chris

What's "Centerlines?" It must be something people in NYC don't know about. Does it get as many hits as Streetsblog? A tenth as many?

I heard of Sacramento once. Is that where the big Hollywood guy has a vacation house?

Wonderful news. Perhaps most noteworthy is that, as the amount of cycling increases, not only are the per-mile or per-hour fatality and injury rates falling but that the ABSOLUTE number of injuries and fatalities is falling. Safety-in-numbers, indeed.

How obsolete helmet campaigns seem when it is now apparent that we can improve our safety by increasing our number.

Bicycling is good! More bicycling is even better!

BTW, I forwarded the BBC story to Centerlines without hat-tipping Streetsblog. But please know I am sharing my affection for this site with everyone I know. Keep up the great work.
