Could you guys post the option to print? I live on 9th street and would love to print the above to post around the 'hood. I am frequently frightened off the street by drivers who treat west 9th street as their personal speedway launch pad onto the BQE.

Also, what's up with this "spam protection" thing? i don't know what to put in the box.
thx

Xue, I'm well aware of the outspoken and misinformation-spouting 9th Street residents, which is why Park Slope Neighbors has been busy contacting those same electeds and trying to see that accurate information about the details and benefits of DOT's traffic-calming plan gets out to the public. I encourage anyone who cares about bike lanes to contact Markowitz, Councilmember Bill de Blasio, Assemblymember Jim Brennan and State Senators Eric Adams and Velmanette Montgomery to express your support for the plan.

The point I was trying to make in my earlier post was to make it clear that CB6 has not opposed the plan.

Yes, Eric, but the disgruntled (and vociferous) 9th St residents could go straight to their electeds, who tend to have more away over DOT than CBs.

The Community Board has not opposed DOT's 9th Street plan. At its last meeting, on Aprill 11th, the Board voted to table a motion on the plan, and sent a letter to DOT asking for further consultation.

DOT has indeed said that it would implement these kinds of projects over Community Board opposition. The concern is what happens if a number of elected officials put pressure on DOT to shut down a project like this.

Hasn't DOT said they'll implement this plan over the community board's opposition? Is there really anything to worry about here?
