		<description>It&#039;s likely that the reason the number of pedestrian deaths has gone down so much since 95 is that the number of pedestrian trips taken goes down every year. 

Instead of considering the number of pedestrian deaths per 100,000 residents, we should be talking about the number of pedestrian deaths per 1,000 pedestrian trips, and then the number of pedestrian trips over time.</description>
