Is that the walkway to Queens, Manhattan or the Bronx?

That’s the ramp to Queens. Not a fun ride.

That looks like part of the massive work that they’re doing on all the bike paths. There is a new descending ramp coming from Queens to Randalls Island that appears to be much much wider than its predecessor. Also, they appear to be beginning to build a new bike approach to the Bronx path. These are sorely needed as the old approahes were very narrow, often glass strewn, and sometime went abruptly down stairs. I think they are closing some ramps to fix them. This massive effort has seen surprising little press in the transportation world. If anyone knows more, I’d love to hear it.

I was coming from Queens, looking for the way to Manhattan, when I saw that ramp. At the time, I thought that’s where it went because from the ground, it appears to lead that direction. But apparently it does go to Queens. Here’s a bird’s eye photo of it. It’s located on the east side of the bridge, where the three spans come together.

When I created Fiboro Bridges, I intended it to reflect temporary closings like this. Can someone from T.A. put this in there?

That was really annoying when I hit that, because the NYC bike map said to get on the bridge there, and I ended up going around 1/2 of Randall’s island to find the other entrance.
