Then they made a decision that Skoda and Seat will be the brands that manufacture small cars (both of these brands are owned by VW-Audi group) and VW brand will be inflated into the "upper middle class". They deliberately moved these jobs from Germany to Czech Republic and Spain. Now they want EU to protect them from their own decisions. It's not about German, French, or Italian. It's about volonteering to do the right thing instead of waiting for the populace to force you to do the right thing. Anyway, don't act like you can't still earn back your development costs by selling big dumb Audi Q7s to big dumb Americans.
