This current edition of weekly carnage is particularly long and just looking at all the past carnage posts, there's not a single mention of an accident involving a cyclist since January 5th, and that wasn't even fatal. Meanwhile there are so many fatal car accidents each week. Granted, there are a lot more cars on the road than bicycles, but it seems like they pose a greater threat to each other than cyclists. I personally feel less safe in a car than on my bike (whether I'm the driver or the passenger doesn't matter, it's just being in a car that feels dangerous). Wow…and people think cycling is unsafe?
