This is beyond silly. Lloyd has a long reputation of not listening to the public, and even at Columbia, where she did a little better, she ultimately paid little attention to community concerns. Be careful what you wish for.

I use the PABT every few months, taking the same line, and I still always forget where I have to go, simply because the whole system there is ridiculous. Even though commuter buses pretty much always leave from the same gate, your bus ticket and the signage never tell you which gate to go to.
Of course, I doubt much of that has to do with Emily Lloyd.

ddartley,

Now that you mention it, have you ever seen a sign with the layout of the building? I never bothered to check, but the design is schizo at best...

An irrelevant but irrepressible response:

If, by "Port Authority," Mr. Kent is referring to the bus terminal, I can, as a periodic user of that facility, swear that it still remains "one of the worst public spaces." Unless you use it every week or more, YOU WILL HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING YOUR WAY inside the place. The directional signs inside the place seem to have been placed in deliberately hard-to-see places (e.g., behind ceiling outcroppings), and direct you into other wide open spaces that contain no further clues as to where your destination (ticket booth/gate/bathroom) is.

This does NOT mean I think Ms. Lloyd is a bad candidate for DOT Commissioner; I just couldn't resist saying it in response to that statement about Port Authority!
