Media Watch: Stay Tuned for Next Week’s New Yorker

Something to look forward to: Next week's New Yorker is running a lengthy feature story on New York City bicycling and Critical Mass by Ben McGrath.

As far as I can tell Bloomberg’s jihad against Critical Mass is just a distraction to the real issue of providing safe and convenient bicycle facilities to New Yorkers. I hope the bigger goal isn’t obscured by the political squabble in the New Yorker piece.

Or maybe Critical Mass is a distraction from the efforts of bicyclists who behave as responsible community members and believe that pedestrians, drivers and bicyclists all have a right to be treated respectfully.
